We are a wireless entertainment company that is seeking an entry level mobile software engineer to join our growing development team. We are the US subsidiary of a successful Japanese company. Our business covers consumer content services and audio technology for mobile devices. Responsibilities
1. Under supervision, design and develop BREW/J2ME/WAP applications with an attention to detail, ensuring excellent code quality and documentation.
2. Port existing BREW/J2ME/WAP applications to new handsets.
3. Support applications after launch, including bug fixes and enhancements.
4. Demonstrate professional maturity and flexibility by working with different cross-functional teams, including Server Team, to meet project deadlines.
Requirements:
1. Knowledge of developing mobile applications in C/C++/J2ME/Java and mobile data management/synchronization solutions like LabVIEW PDA, SQL Anywhere etc.
2. 1-2 years (will consider academic/internship experience) experience in developing mobile applications for handheld devices.
3. Excellent understanding of wireless technologies, handheld devices, data synchronization and wireless computing.
4. Telecommunication, Computer Science or MIS as Major Field of Study.
5. Interest in wireless phones and wireless technologies like BREW/J2ME a huge plus.
6. Self motivated, highly proactive and reliable.
7. Ability to excel under pressure.
